A charming guest house situated in the palm groves of Skoura. First impressions can be quite misleading at L’Ma Lodge. After driving down a rural dirt road, once you step through the entrance to the compound it all makes sense, you’ll quickly realise you’ve discovered your own personal slice of Moroccan paradise!
Nestled among the palm groves of Skoura, L’Ma Lodge is a traditionally built guest house that radiates serenity and charm. The gardens, pool, and seating areas are so peaceful and inviting that they practically beckon you to relax and unwind.
Families and couples can enjoy a night or two to recharge before venturing into the desert or navigating the bustling streets of Marrakech.
Serenity and Charm
A delightful guest house set within the palm groves of Skoura, offering delicious organic cuisine, much of which is grown on the property itself. L’Ma translates to water in Arabic, a precious resource in the desert.
Looking Insta cute, just don't look at my trotters!
Before I stayed at L’Ma Lodge I stayed at the totally authentic Kasbah Oulad Othmane, you can check out my review here.

How do I get to L’Ma Lodge?
I organised my own taxi from Ouarzazate to Skoura, it took just under one hour and was 350 Dirham, which is just under £30.
The nearest Airport is Ouarzazate which is around an hours drive.

Guest Reviews
“The facilities were exceptional, the good taste of the entrance, the use of all sort of rustic object in the garden to create small spaces to relax, the children's play room, swimming pool. The small animal farm.”
Rooms at L’Ma Lodge
Just 7 guest rooms here, beautifully clean and decorated, my room even had a little outdoor balcony shower! Sorry I forgot to take a pic! *eyeroll
The Best Bits at L’Ma Lodge
I felt like I wanted to stay here for longer, I was made to feel super special, the grounds were just so beautiful peaceful.
Bad Bits at L’Ma Lodge
Wifi is meant to work by the table and chairs area communal, it did't work for me, but I was detoxing from social media, it was all good! Breakfast is served from 0800 and I had to leave by 0730 to catch my flight so no breakfast for meBut they did leave a pot of coffee and some items out for me which was so cute!
Summary, so what was it like staying at L’Ma Lodge
Oh my what a stunning relaxing facility, this is such a great place to forget it all relax and chill and enjoy the facilities, if you ever need some time out (like every week?) to forget everything, this place will hit the spot! I think 2 or 3 days would be enough though and it would be great to pair this place on a road trip Moroccan adventure. For me this was an ideal place after a few days in the desert to unwind!

Travel Essentials
For Morocco, don't forget lots of linen and scarfs, especially if your heading to the desert. Get yourself a snazzy money belt, Morocco is very much cash based, even some hotels required payment in cash!
You also need a European adaptor and don't pick one up at the airport for £30!!!
Don't forget to get yourself a digital eSim before jetting off to Morocco, I was even able to use mine in the middle of the Sahara desert! No joke!
