Travel Smart with Cabin Bags

EasyJet allows passengers to bring a cabin bag that fits under the seat for free. To maximise this allowance, consider compact options like the Cabin Max case. These bags are designed to meet easyJet’s size restrictions, offering ample space for your essentials while avoiding extra charges. For more space, you can opt for an additional cabin bag by upgrading to an upfront or extra-legroom seat. With launching their longest ever route LGW>SAL in Cape Verde said to be just over 6 hours! Here is an article full of tips and tricks to make it that little bit more bearable!

TOP TIP

when flying with easyJet and heading on holiday and don't want to squeeze everything into a tiny personal bag,

You can add a larger cabin bag separately, the price varies slightly depending on the route but is around £25 give or take a few quid, each way, much cheaper than adding a hold bag, plus you get to take it onboard, so no waiting around at the carousel stressing if your luggage has arrived!

easyJet Larger Cabin Bag size 56 x 45 x 25 cm

I usually take my Cabin Max 40L anode for flights with easyJet, for trips up to 7 days!

The Cabin Max Anode size 56 x 45 x 25 cm so as you can see the perfect size for easyJet's larger carry on bag size rules! Its very lightweight with a hard shell and 4 wheels that turn 360 degrees so you can push or pull it along.

EasyJet Personal Bag Size

Of course you could just squeeze it into a smaller version the 30L that fits easyJets personal bag allowance. Here it is on Amazon

Maximum size 45 x 36 x 20cm (including any handles or wheels)

I use the Cabin Max Metz, its really good value, I can use it for Ryanair, EasyJet Wizz Air as a personal item, also it's quite comfortable on your back due to the padding, its really well designed. Again it comes in so many different colour options,

Or add a hold bag

a 15kg hold bag which is usually cheaper than adding a 23kg hold bag

Again the Cabin Max Anode 40L is perfect for this!

Here is my Cabin Max Anode, it also fits perfectly with Ryanair's second bag or Priority's strict measurements.

Plan Ahead: easyJet Flight Delays and Compensation

When will easyJet release summer 2025 flights? Flights for the summer season are typically released around September to October of the previous year. Keep an eye on EasyJet’s website for the exact dates and book early to secure the best fares.

Also EasyJet delays and cancellations are part and parcel of the airline, it was reported via the CAA that easyJet were the 17th worst performing airline for flights departing UK Airports, with an average delay of 20 minutes 24 seconds. This is much better than some airlines such as British Airways, Tui, Wizz Air etc.

Flight delay compensation is also a key topic for travellers. If your flight is delayed by more than three hours due to circumstances within easyJet’s control, you may be eligible for compensation under EU Regulation 261/2004.
