Why easyJet Plus is a Game-Changer for Frequent Flyers

By Mr Plane Guy Travel Blogger, Flight and Travel Expert

If you're a frequent flyer, you've probably mastered the art of breezing through airports, securing the best seats, and dodging unexpected fees. And now, easyJet is making that even easier, especially for British Airways Executive Club members. The airline has just rolled out an exclusive offer, slashing the price of its easyJet Plus membership by more than half, down to just £122 for the first year. That’s a serious deal for those who find themselves hopping across Europe regularly.

So, what’s all the fuss about, and is easyJet Plus worth it? Let's break it down.

Why easyJet Plus is a Game-Changer for Frequent Flyers

What is easyJet Plus?

Think of easyJet Plus as your VIP pass to a smoother, more enjoyable travel experience. For an annual fee, members unlock a suite of benefits that can make a world of difference, especially if you’re a frequent short-haul traveller.

Here’s what easyJet Plus gets you:

  • Speedy Boarding – Skip the boarding queue and grab your seat before the crowd.

  • Large Cabin Bag Included – No stressing over squeezing your essentials into a tiny under-seat bag.

  • Free Seat Selection – Whether you love the window view, need extra legroom, or just prefer the aisle, it’s yours at no extra cost.

  • Fast Track Security – Available at select airports, meaning less time in long lines and more time relaxing before your flight.

  • Flexible Returns – Need to catch an earlier flight home? With easyJet Plus, you can hop on an earlier return flight on the same day at no extra charge.

  • Inflight Discounts – Enjoy 10% off food and drinks onboard.

  • Dedicated Bag Drop – Say goodbye to long check-in queues.

For anyone flying with easyJet multiple times a year, the savings and convenience can add up fast.

Why This Offer is a No-Brainer for BA Executive Club Members

For those used to the perks of BA’s Executive Club, making the switch to easyJet for short-haul flights doesn’t have to mean sacrificing comfort or convenience. This limited-time offer lets BA Gold, Silver, and Bronze cardholders snag a year of easyJet Plus for just £122 (normally £249). That means all the perks, Speedy Boarding, priority security, seat selection, and more, for the price of a single premium flight upgrade.

With the offer running until March 31, 2025, it’s the perfect time to see how easyJet Plus stacks up for your travel needs.

Is easyJet Plus Worth It?

If you’re a regular easyJet traveller, the answer is a resounding yes. The perks, especially the large cabin bag, Speedy Boarding, free seat selection quickly add up to make every journey smoother and more enjoyable.

EasyJet Cabin Bag Allowances

EasyJet’s hand luggage policy is straightforward but strictly enforced here's what you need to know:

Free Small Bag

  • Size: 45 x 36 x 20 cm (including handles and wheels).

  • Weight: No official weight limit, but it must fit under the seat in front of you.

  • Examples: Small backpack, handbag, or laptop bag.

  • Cost: Free with any ticket.

A common question is,

Can I take a handbag as well as hand luggage on an EasyJet flight?

The answer is no unless you’ve paid for an upgrade like Speedy Boarding or booked an upfront seat. Without an upgrade, EasyJet’s policy allows only one small bag per passenger.

Here are a few bag suggestions specifically for easyJets baggage rules.

Now this bag actually fits Ryanair and Wizz Air that have stricter and smaller free personal baggage allowance you can get the bigger option 30L 45 x 36 x 20 cm to fly with EasyJet.

I find this option for paying for a paid carry on bag on easyJet is a great feature for me for trips up to a week away. Normally it's less than £30 with easyJet and is very cost effective, usually a-lot cheaper than buying hold luggage fee's. (Prices vary depending on which route and EasyJet flight.) Plus I can keep the bag with me and I don't have to stress at the luggage carousel! I take my 40L Cabin Max Anode and can fit plenty of items for a week away.

How Often Are easyJet Flights Delayed?

One of the biggest concerns for any traveller is reliability. easyJet generally maintains a decent on-time performance, with the majority of flights arriving within 15 minutes of their scheduled time. However, like any airline, delays can happen due to weather, air traffic control restrictions, or operational issues.

If you’re worried about delays, easyJet offers a flight tracker tool on their website and app, so you can check real-time updates before heading to the airport. Plus, with easyJet Plus, having access to an earlier return flight option gives you an added layer of flexibility in case of unexpected disruptions.

EasyJet Flight Delay & Cancellations Guide

EasyJet travellers should also prepare for potential disruptions. In the event of a delay or cancellation, be sure to check EasyJet’s flight delay and cancellations blog for guidance on rebooking, refunds, and compensation.

What are my rights if I am delayed or my EasyJet flight is cancelled?

Packing Tips for EasyJet Flights

1. Invest in the Right Bag: A lightweight, compact bag like the Cabin Max Metz ensures you meet easyJet’s size requirements.

2. Wear Bulky Items: Save space by wearing your heavier clothes, like jackets or boots, during boarding.

3. Compression Cubes: These maximise space while keeping your belongings organised.

4. Essentials in Hand Luggage: Always pack essentials (toiletries, chargers, and documents) in your cabin bag, especially in case of delays or cancellations.

Packing cubes to keep everything organised. If you have items spilling out of your luggage you are more likely to be asked to place your luggage in the sizer for checking by the gate staff!

No, unless you upgrade your ticket. Standard fare allows one small personal item.

What can I take in hand luggage on EasyJet?

You can pack liquids (100 ml per container max), electronics, and personal items. Everything must fit within the size limit of 45 x 36 x 20 cm.

EasyJet Luggage allowance for EasyJet Holidays

Back in August 2024 easyJet holidays changed their policy effecting those booking city break holidays, they now don't include hold luggage allowance.

EasyJet holidays baggage policy:

  • Free Small Bag: Each person can bring a small under-seat bag (max 45 x 36 x 20 cm, no weight limit) free of charge. It must fit under the seat and be self-carried. This does not apply to lap infants unless they also bring a baby changing bag of the same size.

the 30L Metz back pack or Anode 30L under seat trolley case are both ideal for this.

  • Hold Luggage: Beach holidays include a 23kg hold bag per person. Weight can be shared across a group but no single item can exceed 32kg, and total size must stay under 275cm (length + width + height).

  • Additional Bags: Extra luggage can be added when booking for up to 15% less than later additions.

  • Overhead Cabin Bags: To bring a larger cabin bag (max 56 x 45 x 25 cm, 15kg), you must book and pay. This includes Speedy Boarding. For this option the 40L Anode is the perfect size and fit.
