Standard Rooms

The standard rooms at hub are just 11.4 m², small but perfectly formed for solo travellers or short stays. While some rooms don’t include windows, I honestly didn’t miss having one. The smart use of space ensures you still have everything you need, including:

  • A luxury double bed

  • A monsoon shower

  • Superfast Wi-Fi

  • A 40” smart TV

  • Easy-to-use lighting and temperature controls

Bigger Rooms

For couples or travellers needing a little more space, I recommend upgrading to a "bigger" room. These measure 13 m²and include a king-size bed, pull-out desk, and even a window. On my visit to hub London Westminster Abbey, I paid £145 for the bigger room and found it worth the extra cost.

Facilities at hub by Premier Inn

While hub hotels are minimalist, they don’t skimp on essentials:

  • Free tea and coffee 24/7 – Perfect for caffeine lovers like me!

  • Breakfast starting at just £8 – Great value, though more on this later.

  • Compact and comfortable communal areas.

These facilities make hub one of the best cheap hotels in London, especially for travelers who prioritise central locations over extravagant amenities.

The Best Bits

  1. Affordable luxury: hub delivers high-quality stays without breaking the bank.

  2. Super central locations: Perfect for tourists and business travelers.

  3. Comfortable rooms: The beds are genuinely cozy, and the showers are fantastic.

  4. Quiet atmosphere: Despite being in busy areas, I didn’t hear any outside noise.

The Not-So-Great Bits

  1. Not enough pillows, a recurring issue with limited pillows! However, staff eventually accommodated my request for a second pillow.

  2. Breakfast chaos: While the £8 price tag is appealing, the service struggled to keep up with demand during peak times. Next time, I’ll grab breakfast at Pret.

  3. Room size: The standard rooms may feel cramped for two people.

How hub Compares to Other Cheap Hotels in London?

If you’re considering other options like Travelodge London, Ibis Hotel London, or even traditional Premier Inn London locations, here’s why hub stands out:

  • Travelodge London: While similarly priced, hub’s modern design and central locations give it the edge.

  • Ibis Hotel London: Ibis hotels often have larger rooms, but hub wins for its innovative tech features and better value for money.

  • Premier Inn London: The regular Premier Inns are great, but hub offers a sleeker, more urban experience at a lower cost. The Premier Inn at Blackfriars is such a good location though!

For travellers seeking cheap hotels in London under £100, hub is a game-changer.

(sometime more than £100 depending on when you book and for what dates ofcourse!)
