Las Vegas a city that never sleeps, constantly evolving and reinventing itself. My journey with this vibrant city began in February 1998, on my inaugural flight as a flight attendant from London Gatwick to Las Vegas. Over the next 18 years, until my final flight in February 2016, I witnessed firsthand the city's remarkable transformation. Hotels rose and fell, iconic landmarks evolved, and the spirit of Vegas remained as captivating as ever.
But beyond the glitz and glamour of the casinos, Las Vegas offers so many amazing and unique experiences that cater to all interests. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a seasoned traveller, here are my top 10 recommendations to immerse yourself fully in the Vegas vibe:
Travel Tip: I think my favourite hotel in Las Vegas would have to be The Cosmopolitan, its slap bang in the centre of Las Vegas strip, has amazing restaurants and pool and you can get rooms with awesome balconies directly overlooking the strip.

1. Helicopter Tours of Las Vegas
Experience Vegas from the Sky
There's nothing quite like soaring above the neon lights of the Las Vegas Strip from a helicopter. Companies like Maverick and Papillon offer a range of aerial tours, from quick Strip flyovers to extended Grand Canyon excursions. These tours typically operate from morning until evening, with sunset flights providing particularly breathtaking views.
The Grand Canyon by helicopter is a once in a lifetime excursion and you should just go for it! Before take off I was quite nervous about being in a helipcopter but it was actually so much fun!

Entertainment Extravaganza
Las Vegas is full to the brim with world-class entertainment. From mesmerising Cirque du Soleil productions to headliner concerts and magic shows, there's something for everyone. Showtimes vary, with most performances starting between 7 PM and 9 PM, and some offering matinee options around 2 PM. It's advisable to check individual show schedules in advance and book tickets early, especially for popular performances. O was one of my favourites along with Le Reve at The Wynn and of course Celine Dion back in the day!
3. The Neon Museum
A Glimpse into Vegas' Illuminated Past
Step back in time and explore the rich history of Las Vegas through its iconic neon signs at The Neon Museum. This outdoor gallery showcases restored signs from old casinos and other businesses, offering a nostalgic journey through the city's luminous past. The museum operates daily from 9 AM to 7 PM, with the last admission at 6 PM. It's closed on New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. This was a truly unique experience I loved the arty vibe, instagrammmers and travel influencer wannabes like myself would love it here! You can even tie the knot here!

Located in downtown Las Vegas, the Fremont Street Experience is a vibrant pedestrian mall known for its dazzling LED canopy and live entertainment. Beyond the light shows, street performers, live music, and a variety of dining options make it a must-visit destination.

5. The Bellagio Fountains
Dancing Waters of the Bellagio
One of Vegas' most iconic attractions, the Bellagio Fountains captivate audiences with their choreographed water shows set to music and lights. On weekdays, shows run every 30 minutes from 3 PM to 8 PM and every 15 minutes from 8 PM to midnight. On weekends, the frequency increases, with shows every 30 minutes from 12 PM to 8 PM and every 15 minutes from 8 PM to midnight. The best part? It's a free spectacle that never fails to impress.

An Open-Air Shopping and Dining Haven

Las Vegas is renowned for its extravagant buffets, offering a culinary journey that caters to every palate. Among the vast options, two stand out as exceptional dining experiences:
The Buffet at Wynn Las Vegas and Wicked Spoon at The Cosmopolitan.
