If you’ve been dreaming of a Korea tour that combines sleek style with smooth service, we’ve got some big news, Virgin Atlantic is launching flights to Seoul in March 2026. That’s right: Virgin flights are going further east, and this new daily route will open up South Korea’s capital to travellers flying in Virgin Atlantic business class, economy, or premium economy.

Whether you're a K-culture lover, foodie, or adventurer, Seoul is calling. Here's everything you need to know about Virgin Atlantic’s return to the Asia-Pacific, plus the best things to do in Seoul, where to stay, lounge access at Incheon, and how to fly in comfort all the way there.

Virgin Atlantic’s New Route to Seoul – Here’s What to Expect

After a pause in their Asia-Pacific operations (with flights to Hong Kong and Shanghai halted in recent years), Virgin Atlantic is officially back in the game with a major new destination:

Seoul, South Korea.

Starting 29 March 2026, Virgin will run daily nonstop flights from London Heathrow to Incheon International Airport using its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. Here’s the schedule:

  • VS208: Departs London Heathrow at 09:45, arrives in Seoul Incheon at 06:05 the next day

  • VS209: Departs Seoul at 08:35, arrives in London at 15:05

Tickets go on sale 14 May 2025, so if you’re planning a 2026 Korea tour, mark your calendars.

This route isn’t just another dot on the map. It’s a big strategic move tied to the recent Korean Air, Asiana merger. Virgin was cleared to operate the route as part of the merger terms and will now collaborate with Korean Air (a SkyTeam partner) to offer onward connections across Asia-Pacific.

Why Virgin Atlantic to Seoul Is a Big Deal

Aside from being a beautiful, dynamic city, Seoul is now the gateway to dozens of destinations and Virgin's SkyTeam partnership makes it easy to connect. You'll be able to hop from your Virgin Atlantic business class seat to cities like:

  • Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Hokkaido (Japan)

  • Sydney, Brisbane (Australia)

  • Auckland (New Zealand)

  • Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang (Vietnam)

  • Hong Kong, and more

If you’re used to flying Virgin across the Atlantic, this opens a whole new region with the same great service. And if you're new to the airline, trust me Virgin Atlantic Upper Class (business class) is the stylish and well-designed flight experience. Something I'm very familiar with as a travel blogger as I spent over 12 years working and managing the Upper Class onboard product and experience as crew with Virgin Atlantic!
